Heavy Traffic Class 2 Licence
Class 2 is a rigid vehicle with a gross laden weight of more than 6,000kg but less than 18,001kg.
About the Course
The Class 2 Licence is a two-day course. It consists of two Unit Standards throughout the two days. It also involves the passing of your learner licence. You will be instructed on the Class 2 and General Road Code, when you are ready you then head down to the AA or VTNZ to sit the Class 2 Learner Licence. (You are not required to purchase a road code for this.)
You will then come back, and you are required to be trained and work through each Unit Standard by filling out a workbook. (This is an open book exercise) as this is part of your learning process, followed by a closed book assessment. The second day you will finish any training and assessments and be taken for a pre assessment drive which can take from 15 minutes to one hour depending on your experience. The assessor will then take you for a practical drive. Once you are competent on the Assessments and Drive you will be given your Class 2 Licence Certificate which you then produce to the AA or VTNZ, so it is recorded on your licence.
